Carthios v3 features
Implemented in the Mac v3 beta, with testing and refinements continuing. Windows development hasn’t started; supported Windows features are still to be confirmed.
Auto-rotated screens
Rotate between selected apps at configurable intervals. Touch, dial, or button input pauses rotation.
Sports
Follow leagues and favorite teams, browse with the dial, and view live and completed scores. More leagues and close-game alerts are planned.
News
Choose sources, read publisher excerpts, and save stories to a read-later queue. Cached headlines remain available during brief connection drops.
Lyrics
Timed lyrics with an active-line highlight and per-song timing adjustment. The community-source MVP is implemented; licensing for a paid release remains unfinished.
Clock
Choose and preview a clock font, including in the shared status bar. Clock customization and Sports are planned as paid v3 features.

Temporary previews of copied text or images, with manual dismissal and sensitive-content protection.

Can I download Carthios for Windows now?
Not yet. This list is here to measure interest and let you know when a Windows beta becomes available. There’s no release date to announce.
Will it have everything the Mac version has?
That’s still to be determined. Windows integrations need their own implementation and testing. Mac-specific features, including Apple Music integration, Calendar and Reminders, and on-device dictation, aren’t promised for the Windows beta.
Will I need a Spotify Car Thing?
Yes. Carthios gives the existing Car Thing hardware a new use on your desk. Windows version requirements and setup instructions will be shared when the beta is ready.
What happens to my email?
It’s saved for the Windows beta launch notification. It isn’t added to website analytics. To leave the list, email workingzian@gmail.com from the address you signed up with.
